Book Cover Illustration
Illustration brief from the client
The main characters are an eight-year-old boy and his imaginary friend. style in mind - Luigi Lucarelli. Is a good example. I imagine the boy to be cute and quirky (brown hair - bit tossed, big brown eyes, smallish nose, and small ears that stick out) I need a character created which will be The Invisible Friend. He will need to have comical facial expressions like “The Grinch”. The invisible friend is possibly light green in color, I need him to be quite tall, and he needs to look funny, and mischievous but not scary.
For the purposes of this exercise to find an artist that suits my needs, I’d like to see the following scenario please: The Invisible friend is controlling the boy like a puppeteer. He is holding the wooden crossbar with a look of delight on his face, his elbows are raised, and the boy has strings attached to his limbs (like Pinocchio) The invisible friend is making the boy splash in muddy puddles that will splash across the page.

Project Brief from the Client -
Comic for COLOUR SCIENCE client. The technical background: Cameras do not natively produce accurate color. A user must profile the color by showing it a color target with known values and then creating a color profile from that target. Some users evaluate the success of profiling (the holistic color performance) by showing the camera the same target and seeing if it produces the correct answers. However, this is fundamentally useless because the profile itself was made based on the same data that’s being used to test it. That’s “teaching to the test” at its worst. Instead, they should evaluate the color performance using a different and independent target from the one used to make the profile.

Our dance company is in California, and we want to incorporate "a wave-maybe like the ocean". We would like a logo with and without a dancer. If there is a dancer, it must be non-genre specific. We'd like lettering, easy to read with perhaps a non-dance-related symbol.
